  In 2017, the Thai government published strategies to become an ASEAN medical hub, a center for export of medical devices, as well as to digitalize the public healthcare system by 2026. The strategies are in line with the 20-year National Strategic Plan and Thailand 4.0 policies, which strongly involve the process of digital transformation to embrace the usage of disruptive technologies and new innovations. Thailand now has 67 international JCI accredited hospitals, the highest number in ASEAN. There are over 350 private hospitals in Thailand, and the biggest one, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), is ranked in top 5 private hospital groups globally in terms of Market Capitalization.They operate a network of 47 hospitals around Asia Pacific Region, and are continuously expanding, currently setting up 7 Wellness Clinics. BDMS welcomes Finnish medical technology companies to come and introduce their newest innovation. BDMS has closely cooperation with many world’s leading technology providers and medical research organizations. CP and T.C.C. groups, which are among the biggest multi-business conglomerates in Asia, are starting major investment projects in medical/healthcare sector. Both have plans to invest approx. 500 million Euros for greenfield medical complexes, including hospitals, research centers, wellness clinics and service homes for elderly. CP have had soft launch of its serviced home and wellness clinic project, and is open for collaboration with Finnish companies.
